Human Rights are in crisis. We use our music, which fuses eclectic styles, to enable diverse audiences to embrace humanity and actively promote the Human Rights agenda. Since the quartet's inception at the start of the New Millennium, they have been involved in many Human Rights events including concerts, rallies and services:
![]() | Dec. 2004: The Inklein Quartet perform for International Human Rights Day at St. Martin in the Fields, London.. Summer 2004: Steve Bentley-Klein visited Palestine to perform in the Rahmallah Theatre and also in the Kandalisa Children's Refugee Camp. These performances were with Vanessa Redgrave and further such trips are planned for the near future. March 2004: The Inklein Quartet joined the Guantanamo Human Rights rallies in New York and Washington D.C. They joined Terry Waite, Vanessa Redgrave and Corrin Redgrave when performing at the Interdenomination Service for World Peace in D.C. The service took place in the Presbyterian Church where Martin Luther King gave his speeches before the race rallies. This same church is the home of Lincoln’s Pew. 2003: With Alan Rickman, Vanessa and Corrin Redgrave and John Sissons, the quartet performed in the Royal National Theatre’s anti-war concert. 2001/2: The Inklein Quartet performed in several concerts in support of Chechen singers and artists who had been banned from performing. They worked on this with the singer Biriliant and also in conjunction with Skye Edwards from Morcheeba. |
